I am craving a good poem. A bike ride. Grass to lay on. A heartfelt smile from a stranger. A hug from a good friend. A long, LONG talk with my Nana (I have SO much to say/ask! Although I know the heavens are treating you well). A quiet space. And a blank canvas.

"Make Love, Not Porn ~ TED Talks

Not sure if you're familiar with TED Talks but my good friend Scott introduced me to this site awhile back. He actually showed me the video that Malcolm Gladwell did on spaghetti (which is great, btw). See second clip. Gladwell is the author of The Tipping Point and Blink - haven't read The Tipping Point, but I recommend reading Blink. It's definitely filled with a lot of interesting thoughts and theories.

So, the actual site also has a blog which I follow and this short clip was on today's post - I think it's entertaining so I'm sharing. The actual website http://makelovenotporn.com is somewhat basic and I want to say almost juvenile in the way it's presented, but I particularly found the saliva comment hilarious. I am not a fan of saliva everywhere and can definitely relate.

Please note : I share the sentiment that is also stated in the clip that this is not a judgment on porn. I could careless one way or the other. Enjoy ;)

Now, personally, I think the orange ones are hilarious. I love them don't get me wrong, but it just reminds me of something almost cheesy.(??) I don't know why, but anywhoo - I love the first one because it's not a normal expression you see in my work. The last orange one, I put up for shit's and giggles - it's almost as if I should be saluting or something. It's hilarious and great to me. So hope you like them or at least they bring a smile to your face.

Let me be clear though, that Cherrystone is not only an amazing person, but I love his work and I do think these are nice (why I posted them obviously) - I am more or less, making fun of myself and the way I chose to pose myself despite how well they came out. So like I said - hope you enjoy ;)

The first one is a favorite of mine. Scott's setup for this shot was quite precarious but very much worth it. Very glad he's come back to the dark world of film ;)

Mud Series ~ Photos by Gerry Oar

This series was so much fun to create - not only was I staying in beautiful Olympia with my favorite photographer and good friend, I was able to go all crazy like and create some fun images. I may have punctured Gerry's ear drum on the first one with my screaming but hey - what you do for art, right.

The clay drying on my body created a very weird sensation and made me feel very animal like. Hence, the screaming. The best part was how great my skin felt post shower. Art and a mud treatment, doesn't get much better then that. ;) Love to Gerry xo
