Gary Breckheimer is one of my favorite photographers. His work always brings out a twinge of jealousy and envy in me, but in a good way of course. It's always some muttering like how did he think of that, how did he pull that off, or I wish I was modeling for that particular shot, etc.
His work just does it for me.
I first came across some of his work almost 3 or 4 years ago and have been checking up on him for new work ever since. Finally, I got to become one of those models in that particular shot. And not only did I get the pleasure of modeling for Gary, but I got the pleasure of modeling with a beautiful woman as well, Miss Meghan Claire. Frankly, I think she's fucking hot and being able to get naked with her was a very nice bonus treat. And, she's also a great model. ;)
So yes, we woke up at 6 am and braved the early LA, January weather. One of the most exciting parts about this was that Gary just happened to be here on vacation (normally a resident of NYC), and well there's just nothing more thrilling than getting naked on your own stomping grounds.
What's that you say? We're going to shoot in front of The Vista next....7 am rush hour traffic at the junction of Hollywood Blvd and Sunset.
Yes. Yes we are.
Sweet.
Hmmm.... 5th and Main St with all the pedestrians and peddlers and crack heads around... And in front of an already open diner with the cooks in the window?
Yes, Yes we are.
And in front of the doors no less...
And the 1st Street Metro Station escalator -- listening for the incoming trains trying to avoid rushes of people. Nevermind the camera's at the metro station right above the escalators...no biggie.
Or tied and bound on the roof of a parking garage (in front of the Walt Disney Concert Hall)...
Or Elysian Park...
Or even on a major street, basically in my own backyard...
It just went from thrill to thrill and I absolutely loved it. There wasn't an ounce of privacy no matter what location we went to. It was gorilla style all the way and I personally can't wait til next time.
