Super lo- fi recording. The whole albums is done this way which I really like and find interesting. Makes me wish I was in a car on a road trip driving past sunsets in the midwest. Kind of sounds like Maxwell going indie, recording in your bathroom through a tapedeck on your boombox. Or a low quality Bon Iver mix. Either way, real good.
